Suleiman Statement on SCOTUS Overturning Roe v. Wade

Atlantic County Democratic Chairman Michael Suleiman released the following statement:

"Thank God we live in the State of New Jersey where Governor Murphy and legislative leaders codified Roe before this disastrous decision was released. In anti-choice states, however, this decision will cost some women their lives, as they'll be forced to undergo dangerous, non-medically supervised procedures to end a pregnancy. It is frightening to think this is the United States of America in 2022.

"The problem with us Democrats is that sometimes we're too nice. Mitch McConnell had no problem stealing a Supreme Court nominee from President Obama and then subsequently approving three Supreme Court justices under Donald Trump. We've sat idly by while the far-right completely transformed the federal bench into an ultra-reactionary body. As a national party, we need to start fighting back.”
