Dolceamore Announces Candidacy for Atlantic County Commissioner At-Large
Dr. Victoria Dolceamore,an award-winning composer, accomplished conductor, and esteemed educator, today announced her candidacy for Atlantic County Commissioner at-Large.
"In our current national climate, I’ve witnessed the effects of leadership that falls short of genuine empathy and unity. I felt compelled to step forward because I believe that real change starts with leaders who listen, collaborate, and prioritize the well-being of every community member," said Dolceamore. "Our democracy deserves a return to values that put people first, and I am committed to fostering that change right here in Atlantic County."
Dr. Dolceamore's long career in the music industry includes scoring award-winning documentaries, HBO films, and stage plays, earning her an award from the National Endowment of the Arts. Currently, Dolceamore is an adjunct professor in general music history at Rowan University and a private music instructor. She holds an EdD in Educational Leadership and Management from Drexel University, an MBA from Pepperdine University, an MFA from Tulane University, and a BA from Newcomb College of Tulane University.
Aside from her career in music and entertainment, Dr. Dolceamore also had a successful career as a corporate executive, working in both the higher education and private sectors. Recently, Dolceamore joined Soleil Sotheby's International Realty in Margate as a real estate agent.
Dolceamore has lived in Margate for most of her life and has three children. Like a true resident of the Downbeach, Dolceamore is an accomplished swimmer, participating in the Jim Whelan "Around the Island" swim three times and various other swimming competitions.
Dolceamore will officially launch her campaign for Atlantic County Commissioner at-large at the 50th Annual Atlantic County Democratic Convention this Sunday, March 2.
