Rowan, Famularo Slam Atlantic City Electric for Outrageous 17% Rate Increase

Maureen Rowan and Joanne Famularo, Democratic candidates for General Assembly in District 2, slammed Atlantic City Electric and the Board of Public Utilities for their outrageous 17% rate increase on customers.

"The Board of Public Utilities must be tone-deaf to approve a 17% increase in electric bills at a time when Atlantic County families are experiencing the worst inflation in 40 years," said Rowan and Famularo. "When elected, we will support legislation limiting electric bill increases to the rate of inflation, preventing huge increases on middle- and working-families from ever happening again."

"Atlantic County deserves legislators who will get the job done, not individuals who blindly follow directions without considering what is in the best interests of Atlantic County families. Reducing costs for residents will be our number one priority," said Rowan and Famularo.
