Fourth of July Parade with the Galloway Democrats

  • Smithville Square 45 South New York Road Galloway, NJ, 08205 United States (map)

Galloway Democrats have walked in the township's July 4th parade for decades.  The club is known for carrying a very large American Flag that was made by students at Arthur Rann School back in the early 1980's and kept by Doug Browne.  Carrying this flag in the parade with his fellow Democrats and friends was one of those times when he shined.  Doug always made sure that Galloway Democrats were represented at township events.  This year, more than ever, we need to be seen.  Showing our neighbors that "We the people, means everyone."

The starting point of the parade is at the Smithville Shopping Center parking lot, located just off Route 9 on Smithville Blvd. We will begin assembling there at 8:15 am. The parade starts at 9 am.  If you don't make it to the beginning, join in along the parade route.

There will be water for the walk.  In addition to carrying the flag, help is needed to hand out candy and pin wheels to the kids along the parade route.
